M U L T I V E R S E 13

Jan Kruml (Czechia)*
David Stalling (Ireland)**
Stephen Bradley (USA)***
Kecap Tuyul (France)
Dominique t'Jolle (Belgium)
experiMENTALien (Slovakia)
Алексей Агапов [Alexey Agapov] (Russia)
Fergus Byrne (Ireland)
Diarmuid MacDiarmada (Ireland)
Rory Adams (Ireland)
Artificial Memory Trace (Ireland)
and
timetravelers visiting from different time-dimensions
(part C in trk01 + 02)
Alberto Negredo (Spain)
Guido Hubner / Das Syntetische Mischgewebe (France)

You can hear "subjective mix" - mixing together all contributions in sort of "democratic" way, trying that each participants are being heard by altering solely volume and balance of each recording,
attempting to conserve and respect the original dynamics of recordings as much is possible.. Obviously, this is not an easy task and some individual sounds are being not heard, especially those of delicate nature.
This can be remedied by publishing these individual tracks which might need closer attention as well as possibility to be re-mixed by another member of uni.Sol_ if desired to create another perspective / view.

... and in following version you can listen to mix "as it is" - as it was recorded and mixed together without any modifications of individual tracks (regardless of distortions and some sounds being inevitably drowned) which might show us general energetic "outline" as "one sound" idea.

trk01_multiverse13: alternative subjective mix by Diarmuid Mac Diarmada (mixed in December 2019)

trk02_multiverse13: subjective mix by aMt

trk03_multiverse13: as it is mix

part A: 1 hour segment

part B: 5 sec of silence

part C: beyond 1 hour - timetravelers: Alberto Negredo "Electric nature" (7:18.11 duration), Guido Hubner "uni.Sol_8_ARP Thing_01" (8:58.10) and the rest (6:38.25) of Fergus Byrne's contribution reaching beyond midnight. Including also very short fragments of AMT (2:04.25), Алексей Агапов (0:01.10), David Stalling (0:06.05), Diarmuid Mac Diarmada (0:57.24) and Kecap Tuyul (0:09.00) on beginning of traveler's mix. trk02_multiverse13: as it is mix (part A B C)

Additional tracks:

trk04_Dominique t'Jolle "New Moon" individual track as it is

trk05 + 06_**** : selective mixes:
uni.Sol_8-redux: Stephen Bradley + David Stalling + Алексей Агапов = multiverse mix by S.Bradley (Mix of these 3 contributions added as reference due to its very detailed acoustical nature, hoping to highlight certain interesting encounters basically invisible in total mix) and (5) mix by A MT of the same material with modified slightly field recordings of А. Агапов which was exceptionally filtered to enhance its character, bring out background sounds and suppress low frequency blows of wind on microphone.

* uni.Sol_8-v01 - Jan Kruml (total time: 33:44 min)
This time I chosen the big chemo-petrol factory Paramo in Pardubice. I drove many times around but always in a hurry so I never had time to stop a do some recordings. I left my car at the factory parking and took a walk around the fence to find some interesting sound spots.
It was just about the time to press the red button. I was please to find out that the area is very quiet during the night. The only people I met was 3 local trash collectors and the factory guard who spotted me on the security cameras and came to ask what I am doing. I took the recordings of me walking, cooling tower, machinery, static sound of high voltage transformer and I left the sounds of passing trains and few cars in the distance. They somehow helps to disturb the industrial monotony. In my quick mix I only applied EQ and Levels correction.

** UniSol VIII: David Stalling (Thursday 1 August 2019, 23.00-24.00 IST) Tremoloa Scordatura. Panoramic contact microphones. Stereo recording. See photograph of instrument in attached "bonus" document.

***Stephen Bradley: the dice experiment
I began on the hour first by throwing dice - if it landed on a 2 & a 5, that set was 7 minutes long. At 7 minutes, i would throw again and that was the amount of silence that i incorporated, then just before that time was up, I threw again and so on until the end of the hour. I was about 85% accurate to the rule as sometimes I would lose track due to playing and trying to keep track of the time. But generally, this facilitates intentional silence between the short sets leaving space for other artist's sounds to be present when I was not playing.

**** Stephen Bradley: I spent some (joyful) time today remixing our tracks based on the uni.Sol_8-redux piece. Basically, I sculptured the sonic space with the attempt to be consistent and respectful to each artists performance integrity and overall quality that hopefully holds together for the hour performance. There are a couple of areas that we do not do "much" however, I like this space presence. There are some remarkable moments that would be difficult to plan - strangely beautiful. Around 30.00 through 38.00 minutes is an interesting moment with the rocking guitar sound, percussion and microphone wind.
